Edit a term
Edit a term’s name or dates, understand effects on linked classes and enrolments, and follow tips for safe date changes on active terms and schedules safely
Overview
Editing a term lets you update its name or date range after it has been created.
This is useful if dates change, a term needs clearer naming, or you want to correct a mistake. Changes apply immediately once saved.
Before you edit a term
Be aware that terms are often linked to classes and enrolments.
If a term already has classes assigned:
- Changing dates may affect class schedules
- Existing enrolments will remain linked to the term
If you are unsure, review the term details before making changes.
